Air Duct Installation, Repair and Cleaning in Miami
A/C Repair
Your air ducts are why one room is freezing and another never cools.
Bad duct design, leaky joints, crushed flex runs, the wrong static pressure — these are the silent thieves running up your bill and wearing out your AC. We design, install, repair, and clean air duct systems the way they should have been done the first time.
What We Fix
Three phases. One licensed visit.
INSTALLATION
Air Duct Installation & Design
Every new duct run is sized to your system’s CFM and your home’s layout — no eyeballing, no one-size-fits-all. Properly designed return and supply paths mean even temperatures, lower bills, and less wear on the equipment.
- ✓Manual J load calc & duct sizing
- ✓Sheet metal & flex duct installation
- ✓Supply & return register placement
REPAIR
Air Duct Repair & Sealing
Loose joints, torn flex, separated takeoffs, missing mastic — we find the leaks and seal them properly. Most homes lose 20%+ of conditioned air to duct leaks. Sealing pays for itself in a couple of summers.
- ✓Joint sealing with mastic & UL-181 tape
- ✓Flex duct repair & replacement
- ✓Static pressure & airflow verification
CLEANING
Air Duct Cleaning & Sanitization
Years of dust, mold spores, and debris accumulate in supply and return runs — your AC is just recirculating it. We mechanically clean the runs, sanitize the system, and replace filters so the air you breathe is the air you wanted.
- ✓Full mechanical duct cleaning
- ✓Antimicrobial sanitization treatment
- ✓Filter replacement with correct MERV rating

Signs your ductwork is the real problem
A surprising number of “my AC does not work” calls in South Florida are duct problems, not AC problems. The unit is cooling fine; the cold air just never reaches the room. Here is what that looks like from inside the house.
- One room is always hot while the rest of the house is fine. A crushed, kinked, or disconnected run to that room, or a supply register that was never sized right.
- The AC runs nearly all day and still cannot hold the set temperature. Conditioned air is leaking into the attic. Industry studies put typical losses at 20 to 30 percent of the air a system produces.
- Dust on the registers and a layer on everything a day after cleaning. Return side leaks are pulling unfiltered attic air into the system.
- A musty smell when the system starts. Moisture and growth inside the ducts, usually from humid attic air getting in through gaps.
- Whistling at the vents. Undersized or restricted ductwork forcing air through too small an opening.
- Energy bills that climbed even though the AC was recently repaired. The repair fixed the unit; the ducts are still throwing the cooling away.
What we do and how we decide
Every duct job starts with an inspection of the full run, not just the part you can see from the attic hatch. We look for disconnections, crushed flex duct, failed tape and mastic, undersized returns, and insulation that has fallen off the ducts and left bare metal sweating in a 130 degree attic. Then we tell you which fix actually solves it. Sometimes that is sealing and reinsulating what is there. Sometimes one bad run needs replacing. Occasionally the whole system was undersized from the day it was built and a redesign is the honest answer. You get a written quote for each option before any work starts.
Duct sealing versus duct replacement
If the ducts are sound but leaking at the joints, sealing with mastic and reinsulating is the fastest, most cost effective fix and usually pays for itself on the FPL bill within a couple of summers. If the flex duct has collapsed, the inner liner has failed, or the layout is wrong for the house, sealing is a patch on a problem that will come back. We will show you what we found and explain why we are recommending one over the other. All ductwork is installed to Florida Building Code by a state licensed mechanical contractor.
Duct cleaning: when it helps and when it does not
Duct cleaning helps after a renovation, after a pest or moisture problem, or when ducts have never been cleaned in a decade or more. It does not help if the ducts are leaking, because the dust comes right back. We will tell you honestly whether cleaning is worth it for your system or whether sealing is the fix you actually need, and we never sell cleaning as a cure for an airflow problem.
Ductwork and insulation together
Ducts run through the attic, and the attic is the hottest space in the house. Sealing the ducts and topping up the attic insulation at the same time is the combination that moves the needle on comfort and the monthly bill, because you stop losing cold air and stop gaining heat through the ceiling in one visit. Read more about why the house stays hot with the AC running, or see our attic insulation services.
