Attic, Wall and Crawl Space Insulation in Miami
A/C Repair
Your AC isn’t the problem.
Your insulation is.
If your AC runs constantly and your bill keeps climbing, the heat is getting in faster than your system can pull it out. Most South Florida homes are under-insulated by 30-50% of what code recommends. We fix that — attic, walls, and crawl spaces — so your AC stops fighting a losing battle.
What We Fix
Three phases. One licensed visit.
ATTIC
Attic Insulation
The single biggest energy win in any South Florida home. We measure your existing R-value, recommend the right depth for your roof type, and install blown-in or batt insulation to bring you up to R-30 minimum. Most homes feel the difference within hours.
- ✓Blown-in cellulose or fiberglass installation
- ✓Existing R-value assessment
- ✓Radiant barrier installation available
WALLS
Wall Insulation
Older South Florida homes often have no wall insulation at all. We inject dense-pack cellulose or foam into existing wall cavities without tearing out drywall — quiet rooms, lower bills, less humidity infiltration.
- ✓Dense-pack cellulose injection
- ✓Closed-cell foam options for high-humidity areas
- ✓Minimally invasive installation — no drywall tear-out
CRAWL SPACE
Crawl Space & Floor Insulation
Often forgotten, often the culprit behind cold floors and humid air. We insulate and vapor-seal crawl spaces to stop moisture infiltration and cut conductive heat loss through the floor. Pairs with attic work for whole-envelope efficiency.
- ✓Crawl space encapsulation & vapor barrier
- ✓Underfloor batt or spray foam installation
- ✓Moisture & mold prevention treatment

Why attic insulation matters so much in South Florida
On a summer afternoon a Miami attic sits at 120 to 140 degrees. The only thing between that heat and your living room is the insulation on the attic floor. When it is thin, compressed, or missing in spots, heat pours down through the ceiling all day and the AC has to fight it for every degree. That is why so many homes here run the system nonstop and still feel warm, and why the FPL bill keeps climbing even after the AC has been serviced. Most pre 2000 homes we see have settled, compressed insulation well below what Florida code calls for today.
Signs your home needs more insulation
- Ceilings that feel warm to the touch in the afternoon. Heat is coming straight through.
- Upstairs or back rooms that never cool down. Rooms under the attic are the first to suffer.
- The AC runs continuously from noon until evening. It is keeping up with heat gain, not cooling the house.
- You can see the ceiling joists from the attic hatch. Insulation should be well above them.
- Energy bills much higher than neighbors in similar homes. Insulation is usually the difference.
- Insulation that is dark, damp, or has been disturbed by pests or a previous roof leak. It has lost most of its value and may need removal.
What we install and how
For attics we blow in loose fill insulation over the existing layer to bring the whole attic floor up to the recommended depth, after sealing the obvious air leaks around can lights, plumbing stacks, and the attic hatch so conditioned air stops escaping upward. Where old insulation is wet, contaminated, or compressed flat, we remove it first and start clean. We also handle wall insulation in homes being renovated and crawl space and floor insulation for raised homes, where moisture control is as important as the R value. Every job is quoted in writing with the target R value and square footage spelled out, and the work is done to Florida Building Code by a state licensed mechanical contractor.
What affects the cost
Square footage of the attic floor, the depth you need to add to reach the target R value, whether old material has to be removed, and how much air sealing the attic needs before the insulation goes in. Attic access and roof pitch matter too. We measure on site and quote the whole job in writing before work starts, so the number you see is the number you pay.
Insulation and ductwork: fix both and the bill drops
If the ducts running through that same attic are leaking, you are losing cold air into the attic while heat comes through the ceiling. Sealing the ducts and topping up the insulation in one visit is the combination that changes the monthly bill and makes the back bedroom usable again.
